First Time Dance Parent Survival Guide

Brand New to the Dance World? No worries we are here to help you through your first year. Follow these few tips & tricks to have a stress-free first year!

Tip #1 Register Early: Save time and register online for classes!

Tip #2 Used Shoes are a Parents Best Friend!: We offer a used shoe trade in program to help parents save money and time. Purchase shoes a little bigger to grow into them throughout the year.

Tip #3 Open House: A GREAT way to get ready for the upcoming Dance Season. Get all your dancers “en pointe” before classes start.

Tip #4 Parent/Student Handbook: A great way to keep up to date on rules and regulations.

Tip #5 Live Google Calendar: Keep up-to-date on important events and dates.

Tip #6 First Day of Class: Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class. Beginner Level classes (Monday & Tuesdays) Stop at the front desk to pick-up Name Tags.

Tip #7 Update Email Address: Make sure to provide us with your updated Email Address

Tip #8 Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram to stay up-to-date on everything at Richard’s!

Tip #9 Costumes: ALWAYS order BIGGER! Make sure to measure and leave two finger spacing between the measuring tape and the body.
